7429DV

FENTON VIOLETS IN THE SNOW COMPORT The Violets in the Snow is a design that was created by Louise Piper for Fenton and became one of their best selling designs. This Footed Comport is ware #7429 DV and was produced by Fenton from 1968-69 and then again from 1970 – 83. This comport stands approximately 6" tall and 7 3/4" in diameter. It is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks, no discoloration and all the pattern is in tact! There is no Fenton decal which means it could have been made in the '60's or 70's as they weren't marking them until the late 1970's and even then only operatically until January 1, 1980! This vase is not signed by the artist and you know what they say... Louise Piper usually did not sign the pieces of Violets she painted! Who knows for sure but it would be nice to dream! Regardless, you will love this beautiful comport to add to your collection!

Click for more detail...

7380AW

FENTON AUTUMN LEAVES ON BLACK COVERED CANDY J This Autumn Leaves on Black Candy Jar 7380 AW was part of Fenton's 1994 General Catalog. Measuring 9 1/2" tall, with the lid on, this candy jar features a gold and green leaf design and is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks and the pattern is intact. There is a lot going on, on the bottom of this candy jar so here goes... You will find the trusted Fenton logo on the bottom with a 9 under showing the decade it was made in, as well as the signature of the artist who painted it which is J.K. Spindler and is also dated 1994, this was limited to the year of production so it is #973, and was a Family Signature Series so it is signed by Don Fenton who is no longer with us. Whew oh and there was something else that has been scratched out?? Sometimes on 2nds Fenton would print their name Fenton or later in years just write a Fenton F but the size of these scratches do not fit any of that. I don't know what it could have been unless there was an issue with the signing equipment? Whatever is was this is the only imperfection on this piece and cannot be seen unless you turn it over to intentionally look at it! This will be a great addition to your Fenton collection!

8267CF

FENTON DESIGNER SERIES BURMESE FOREST COTTAGE Fenton is proud of their team of designers and the fact they keep up with design trends and take the initiative to experiment with new materials and techniques. If ever there was a year that this was evident was 1997! Each designer responded to the request for a Limited Edition offering for Bell collectors. Not only did the collection show the artistic skills of the designer but that of the glass craftsmen at Fenton! Frances Burton’s contribution was this beautiful 7" Medallion Bell entitled "Forest Cottage" 8267 CF. Listed as rare in the Fenton Glass 1990’s Decade book by James Measell each panel alternates the Cottage in the forest or just the forest with a circled outline of 22k gold! It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or discoloration. Each of these limited edition bells are signed and numbered by the talented artist who painted it. Click for more detail...

7793UY

FENTON BLUE BURMESE DAFFODIL VASE FAMILY SIGN Wow what a find! This beautiful Blue Burmese Daffodil Vase 7793 UY was produced by Fenton to be used for the 1999 Family Signing Event piece! What that means is higher volume dealers would have a Fenton Family member visit their shop to have a "Signing Event" at least once a year. A special piece would be made that could only be gotten at that event! This would entice customers to the event and you had to buy either the signing piece or some other one to have the family member sign and then you could also bring 2 pieces of your own Fenton from home to have signed as well! I know as I had these events each year as the 2nd largest Fenton Dealer in the USA! I was very proud of that as I love Fenton and felt an obligation to represent them well.

Now that I told you something you probably already know, let me tell you this 5" tall Blue Burmese Daffodil Vase is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks and no signs of ware. The family member who signed this piece is "Don Fenton" who is no longer with us, and dated it 1999. Because of being blown into a mould you cannot see a Fenton logo on the piece but this is common when pieces are blown not fully pressed. What a great addition to your Fenton collection!
