CV100AZ

FENTON FRENCH OPAL. RIB OPTIC AZALEA PERFUME What a magnificent combination of colors on this French Opalescent Rib Optic Perfume CV100 AZ with a Spruce Green Crest & Heart Stopper made by Fenton for QVC in 1995. No other glass company combines the talents of the chemists, craftsmen and artists like Fenton does and this piece is the perfect example! The chemists creates the magnificent colors, then the glass artisans use a series of blowing, cooling and reheating steps to create the French Opalescent Rib Optic design on this piece. As well as the Crisp bands of fresh Spruce Green Crest that they add. Finally the talented painters add their handpainted design to complete a true work of art!

This Azalea Perfume Bottle measures approximately 5 1/2" tall with a Spruce Green crest & heart shaped stopper. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or discoloration and the pattern is intact. The talented artist who painted it signed it on the bottom. There is also an older Fenton sticker, which blocks me from seeing the logo. I don't want to remove it just to say if pressed or painted. This beautiful piece would be a great addition to any collection!

FENTON DIAMOND OPTIC BURMESE AURORA VASE Here's one you don't see often! This Diamond Optic Burmese Aurora Vase was a Fenton Gift Shop Exclusive in 2003. Measuring 7" tall this vase is handcrafted with gold in the formula that transforms the glass from yellow to pink when reheated. Using a special spot mould they create the diamond optic, or checkerboard, look to the glass and then the vase is finished off with a six point crimp to complete this unique vase! It is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks the Fenton logo can be barely made out on the bottom as when the glass is blown into the mould it is not pushed hard enough by the plunger to be seen in burmese. I always say there is a piece of Fenton for everyone, so for those that do not like their pieces painted on here is yours!

Click here to enlarge image and see more about item 7252BR: FENTON BURMESE DC VASE

Click for more detail...

7252BR

FENTON BURMESE DC VASE Burmese has had a long interesting history with Fenton. Charles Goe was a well known Research & Development Chemist Fenton. For years he thought about recreating the glass originally created in 1885 by Frederick Shirley of Mt. Washington Glass Co. In 1969 he made that dream a reality and in October of that year informed Bill Fenton he not only perfected Burmese Glass but the first items were on the lehr. That very night he went to play a game of handball and died shortly after the game. He never got to see the success his beautiful Burmese Glass became! Fenton continued to produce Mr. Goe's formula for Burmese until the mid 1980's when the NRC (Nuclear Regulatory Commission) instituted restrictions. Fenton had to then change the formula which gave them trouble in reproducing. After many attempts it was again perfected and Burmese became an even softer more pastel shade that we still love today!
Now that you know the history of the glass let me tell you about this beautiful DC Vase 7252 BR that was produced under the original formula by Fenton from 1970 - 72. Measuring 7" tall it is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks or signs of ware. It is a plain vase, no painting, which many collectors prefer! The best part it was part of the very beginning of the making of Burmese! What a wonderful addition to your Fenton collection!
