Orchid, etching #507, by Heisey Glass was produced from 1940 - 57. The blank was developed by Heisey designer Horace King and was originally called Oceanic however was soon changed to Waverly #1519. Although pieces are made on blanks such as Dunham #485 and Lariat #1540 to name a few, the majority of the dinnerware is found on either Waverly or Queen Ann #1509. Glassware is usually on 3 major blanks #5022 Graceful, #5025 Tyrolean or the #5089 Princess. Imperial continued a limited number of Waverly pieces after acquiring Heisey. If you find a Carmel slag candy box, with the Heisey Diamond, you probably have an Imperial piece!
