RJK01
AMERICAN FOSTORIA LARGE ROUND TRAY WOW to infinity! That’s what I said and so will you when you see the Rare American Round Tray! Produced by Fostoria Glass from 1924 – 43 it measures 12" in diameter with a ½" lip around that sits in this beautiful silver tray. It was common for Fostoria to make pieces and sell them to other companies to add their silver and sell on the secondary market. The glass itself is in very good condition with no chips or cracks. Scratches can be seen if held up to the light, but these could be polished out but I will leave that up to you! Just know it does not take away from the beauty of the piece. The tray to is in excellent condition although I know nothing of silver so you be the final judge. The bottom markings on the silver are as follows: EPC each inside a square and under them markings that look to me like a person or knight, a crown and a written L then 565 off to the side of this. I’ve been told by a person in the know that it is Staffordshire silver plate, American made. Those who know silver I’m sure this will mean something! What I know is that your favorite Fostoria collector will be thrilled with this truly elegant piece of yesterday!

G163
AMERICAN FOSTORIA NECKED ROSE BOWL-SILVER LID This American Fostoria Necked Rose Bowl is rated #1 in rarity by Sidney Seligson. Because of his knowledge of American Fostoria, most collectors utilize his scale of 1 (almost impossible to find) thru 6 (usually readily available) when determining the value of the piece. Several of the items Sidney lists as a Rarity of 1 were originally to be sold in England exclusively. Most of the pieces were of a very limited production, sometimes just a few days to one year. Many are only found in museums or private collections. This RARE American Fostoria Necked Rose Bowl measures 3 ½" (without lid) tall and has a fire polish finish with a factory ground base. It is in excellent condition with a faint scratch line in the bottom, probably from production. The silver is in excellent condition with the inside stamped with the makers mark and name (looks like Nappin Borthers. This rare piece it a must for every collection!
