CVM014

AMERICAN FOSTORIA ROUND COVERED BUTTER DISH This Round Bottom Dome Covered Butter Dish is in the American pattern that was produced by Fostoria Glass from 1915 - 74. Rated a 3 (Rare) by Sidney Seligson the Butter Dish base has a starburst center and measures 7 ¼ inches, and 6 inches tall with the dome shaped lid on. This butter dish is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks and looks as if hardly ever used! The lid is perfect with no rough areas, while the base does have a flea bite on one of the points and two rough areas on the rim where the lid sits. A few air bubbles can be seen and one straw mark in the bottom of the dish, which is normal in glass of this era. This sounds like a lot but really is not and will not diminish the value it will bring to your collection. It is mentioned in detail for full disclosure! What a beautiful addition to your collection or great to use every day.

AMERICAN FOSTORIA PICKLE – JAM JAR W/GLASS LI Here is a piece you won’t find every day! This American Fostoria jar has been called a Pickle Jar or Jam Jar and is rated #2 in rarity by Sidney Seligson. Because of his knowledge of American Fostoria, most collectors utilize his scale of 1 (almost impossible to find) thru 6 (usually readily available) when determining the value of the piece. In his last book this was valued at $1,200.00. Most of the pieces were of a very limited production, this particular piece was produced from 1915 – 25 and then again in 1935 – 43. This RARE American Fostoria Pickle Jar has a glass lid, and measures 3" on the inner diameter and 5 ¾" tall with the lid on (4 ½" without). It is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks.
