Fenton produced Overlay patterns for their own moulds as well as for other companies. They were formed by covering milk glass with a transparent glass, like the blue or rose overlay designs.

During WWII Fenton made their overlay patterns for other companies such as Jay Wilfred and Weil Ceramics to name a few. Let me be clear though I do not know if this particular piece was made for either. Blue Overlay was originally produced by taking Milk Glass & covering it with blue transparent Glass. This ruffled Vase stands approximately 8" tall and is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks.
